Stayed at Site #20, very good time. Big spot, no bugs, close to the highway, but still pretty quiet. Most of the sites are ideal for RVs and camper trailers, but there are plenty of good tent sites. For $10/night, it's hard to go wrong.

Absolutely wonderuful National Forest campground. One of my favorites. Creek nearby, many tall pines, hence the name. Enough space between the sites for enough privacy. Saw some deer and I'm sure plenty of opportunity to see other wildlife.

At the risk of spoiling the local's secret, I want to congratulate the hosts at this campground on keeping the restrooms spotless, the campers happy and the creek flowing (well maybe they did't do this by themselves). I spent a night there during the heat of July and found it cool, comfortable and very nice.

Aug of 2017..........very nice campground and small forest roads near by for wild life viewing.

A very nice campground. Simple, serene.
